Three-Terminal Capacitor

A three-terminal capacitor is a specialized capacitor with three leads or terminals, typically used in noise suppression and EMI filtering applications.

• Terminals: Line (Input), Load (Output), Ground
• Function: Provides low-impedance path to ground for high-frequency noise
• Common Use: Power supply input filtering, DC-DC converters, RF circuits
• Advantage: Better high-frequency bypassing than standard two-terminal caps

Note: Often packaged like a transistor; internal structure may include two capacitors in series with a common ground tap.
